The first 60 pages jump around with no particular pattern, then around page 60 it settles into a more traditional chronological narrative which is much easier to follow. The focus is almost entirely on O'Leary's obsession with low costs, at the expense of everything else. It's probably accurate, but the one-dimensional characterization gets a little tiresome.O'Leary famously admired Herb Kelleher of Southwest Airlines, but there's almost no coverage of why O'Leary dismissed Southwest's emphasis on fun and customer satisfaction to focus solely on cost, and whether this was deliberate or accidental.If the author knows anything about aircraft or the airline business, it's not apparent here: this book is really all about personalities and little else.Finally, it's clearly written for the Irish market: there are many references to Irish politics and the terminology will be lost on many non-Irish readers.It may be worth reading for a glimpse into a highly visible larger-than-life personality, but don't expect to learn much about running a successful airline.
